Charles Leclerc confesses he could ‘only manage’ P3 in Mexico despite Carlos Sainz’s stellar victory

Charles Leclerc put forth a highly impressive outing at the Mexican GP after starting the race from P4. Ferrari was almost on the trajectory to score a one-two finish if it wasn’t for Leclerc’s late-race blunder. The Monegasque went off-track and lost the P2 finish but managed to score one extra point for the fastest lap. Hence, the 27-year-old opened up regarding his thoughts on the difficult race.
Charles Leclerc managed to steer clear of the shenanigans between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris at the Mexican GP. The Monegasque swooped in and took the P2 position amidst the battle between the two. Leclerc noted that the race was ‘difficult’ for him and pointed out the struggles of managing the temperature in the first stint.
Ferrari’s recent upturn in performance has granted the team the runner-up spot in the constructors’ championship. Moreover, the Italian constructor is highly hopeful of fighting with McLaren for victory. Leclerc reckoned that the team attempted their best on track at the Mexican GP. The Monegasque could only manage a P3 finish after the blunder towards the latter half of the race.

Carlos Sainz put forth a dominant performance and started the race amazingly from the pole position. The Spaniard won the Mexican GP as Ferrari attempted their best to maximize points over the weekend. Hence, Charles Leclerc added that Sainz showcased a great race as well as the Maranello-based outfit after securing a P2 position in the constructors’ standings.
Ferrari and McLaren are now just 29 points apart with both hopeful of scoring the victory. Regardless, both championships are currently open for the teams and drivers to acquire. Hence, the end-of-the-season battle with put forth a highly exciting contingency for the fans and drivers alike.
