Leclerc won the Monaco Grand Prix this season in magnificent fashion, conquering his home race for the very first time. He will now look to get back to winning ways in Barcelona after a forgetful race in Montreal, where Ferrari suffered a double DNF for the first time this campaign.
Charles Leclerc updates on engine issues for Ferrari ahead of Barcelona test
Charles Leclerc has revealed that Ferrari has been successful in fixing the engine issues that thwarted the performance of the Monegasque driver in Montreal. Leclerc suffered issues picking up pace along the straights during the Canadian Grand Prix and later suffered a DNF.
We found a solution. I'm not going to go into the details of what it was exactly. But, obviously, we were losing a lot of lap time in the straights which pushed us to retire the car. This was difficult to control until we actually understood what what went wrong, and we have fixed it.Charles Leclerc via RacingNews365
Ferrari has been on good form this season and has managed to score an impressive 252 points across nine races. The Maranello-based team has managed to put aside their reliability issues of the past while winning in Australia and Monaco this year.
The upcoming race in Barcelona will test the pace and prowess of all the teams across the grid. The high-speed corners and extremely aerodynamic straights at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will pose a stiff challenge. Ferrari will look to find a way back amongst the points in Spain as they eye a third win this campaign.
