Max Verstappen failed to win in front of his home fans at Zandvoort this weekend. The Dutch driver seemingly had no pace compared to Lando Norris. As the Briton took a dominant victory. Red Bull team boss Christian Horner admitted that the Austrian team needs to bounce back in the next race.
Horner highlighted that McLaren had made gains in the Constructors’ title after this weekend. The Woking-based team now trails behind Red Bull by only 31 points. Christian Horner claimed that Milton Keynes will need to respond stronger to ensure that they can retain the championship this season.

Red Bull to focus on its ‘deficit’ from McLaren
Red Bull were the favorites for the title at the start of the season. However, McLaren have outperformed the Austrian team for the past few races. Christian Horner admitted that the team was ‘digesting’ this weekend’s result. The Briton insisted that Milton Keynes will understand the deficit it has from McLaren to bounce back in the coming races.
Time to digest the result here. Damage limitation with P2. We need to understand where the deficit is. We have learnt where it is.Christian Horner stated

Certainly, Red Bull have a lot of work to do in the coming weeks if the Austrian team wants to defend its title. Max Verstappen needs a better car as McLaren continues to make strides in development. As such, it remains to be seen if Christian Horner’s team can manage to catch up with the Woking-squad within the next few races.
