Max Verstappen has become synonymous with Red Bull Racing. The Dutch driver has raced for Milton Keynes for nearly a decade. Now, former F1 driver Christijan Albers has asserted that Verstappen will not enjoy such influence at any other team.

The four-time world champion enjoys strong favor within Red Bull. The Austrian team ensures the 27-year-old remains happy and doesn’t ponder about a potential switch to the future. Though, Max Verstappen does have an exit clause which could facilitate such a move.

Christijan Albers emphasized that Max Verstappen, his father Jos Verstappen, and his manager Raymond Vermeulen have incredible power at Red Bull. Albers reckoned that the trio will not get this sort of power and influence at any other team, particularly at big carmakers such as Ferrari and Mercedes.

The power and the power that Max, Jos [Verstappen] and [manager] Raymond [Vermeulen] have at Red Bull, I don’t see them getting that so quickly at other big car manufacturers. I don’t know if he’s going to be happy with that.

The former DTM driver asserted that Max Verstappen is the only driver on the grid to be synonymous with a team. Albers acknowledged that Lewis Hamilton is a big figure at Scuderia Ferrari courtesy of his incredible success. However, there is nothing bigger than the iconic Prancing Horse in the world of motorsport.

Where does he get it so good? Because basically Red Bull is Max Verstappen. And if you start looking at that: Lewis [Hamilton] is a big man at Ferrari. But nobody is bigger than the Ferrari brand.

Christijan Albers added

As such, it might be difficult for Max Verstappen to adapt to a new environment if he decides to leave Milton Keynes in the future. Though, for now, the reigning world champion is focused on his upcoming campaign with the aim to bag a fifth world title in a row.
