Max Verstappen is now a four-time world champion. The Dutch driver officially won the 2024 title after finishing fifth place at the Las Vegas GP. Now, former F1 champion Damon Hill has predicted that the 27-year-old could achieve much more success in the coming years.
Hill praised Verstappen and Red Bull for completely mastering the ground-effect regulations in Formula 1. The 64-year-old highlighted that the Dutchman drove brilliantly over the course of the 2024 season. Although, the Briton did take a subtle dig at the Red Bull driver’s self control.
Nevertheless, Damon Hill was confident that Max Verstappen can potentially defeat Lewis Hamilton‘s seven world titles and win eight championships in his F1 career. The ex-F1 champion insisted that the Dutch driver’s brilliance will keep fans glued to the sport for years to come.
Got to hand it to @redbullracing and @Max33Verstappen They absolutely smashed this generation of F1 regulations and of course Max has driven brilliantly (occasional loss of self control!) The event horizon of 7 titles looms into view. Maybe 8? That will keep us glued to @f1 #f1

Damon Hill appreciates Lando Norris’ words to Max Verstappen
Lando Norris congratulated Max Verstappen for winning the 2024 championship. The Briton failed to defeat the Red Bull driver this year. However, Damon Hill gave a respectful nod to Norris’ comments post-race. Moreover, the former world champion reckoned that now McLaren and Red Bull would be preparing for next year’s title fight.
Some fine words from Lando in the pen. Also from Stella. Quick lick of the wounds and on to the Constructors and 2025. The War that never ends #f1

Max Verstappen’s 2024 title triumph was one of the most challenging ones in his career. The 27-year-old would be relieved to finally have it in the bag. The four-time world champion will be aiming to try and get Red Bull to challenge McLaren in the Constructors’ standings in the final two races.
