Lando Norris has been driving exceptionally well around the Canadian GP circuit. McLaren has great chassis performance, especially against Red Bull’s struggling pace. The competition is closing in with the top four teams as compared to the season’s beginning. Red Bull is no longer in their dominant era as the team lost out on multiple races. Ferrari and McLaren are looking extremely strong and hopeful of a competition with the Austrian constructor. Hence, the Canadian GP will witness great racing action towards the end of the race.

Lando Norris fell down to P3 after not pitting under the Safety Car at the Canadian GP
Lando Norris was quick to extend the lead towards George Russell and Verstappen. The Briton quickly went ahead by almost six seconds over the rival teams. Hence, the 24-year-old was highly hopeful of scoring a similar victory to his maiden win in Miami GP. However, Logan Sargeant‘s unexpected crash and safety car jumbled the order of the drivers.
Lando Norris decided to not pit under the safety car for another set of Inters. The Briton stuck out and pitted in the next lap. However, the trailing drivers pit first and took the early lead by saving time. As a result, Norris found himself in P3 after pitting very late. Max Verstappen took the lead in the Canadian GP for the first time after starting the race in P2.

Norris will have to fight a lot on the track to move up the pecking order. McLaren’s strong pace has showcased that they deserve a chance at the win. Hence, the race might put forth a great racing action in the forefront for all the drivers. As things currently are, the rain-logged Montreal circuit could see Verstappen sail to victory under wet conditions.
