The F1 drivers have always had a love affair with their car numbers. Moreover, the 2023 season has got quite a few new names in the entry list, and with the help of this piece, let’s take a look at the number of all 20 race drivers in the 2023 grid.

The concept of car numbers was brought into the sport in 2014, and since then, the trend has continued and is set to stay for the foreseeable future. It has made it easier for fans to keep an eye on their favorite athletes during Grand Prix weekends. The driver has just one chance to select his car number from the available pool and once decided it will remain the same till his F1 exit. The digit one is reserved to the reiging champion and he can take up the number if he wish to be.

For the 2023 campaign, the new entrants are Nico Hulkenberg at Haas, Nyck De Vries at AlphaTauri, Oscar Piastri at McLaren, and, Logan Sargeant, who will make his trade for the Wantage-based Williams F1 team. Hulkenberg and Piastri would be driving with the numbers 27 and 81 on their cars, whereas De Vries and Sargeant would be seen swooping around the various tracks with numbers 22 and 2 on their liveries.
