Former British F1 world champion Nigel Mansell has shared his thoughts on Red Bull driver Max Verstappen‘s approach this season. Verstappen leads the drivers’ championship with a handsome gap of 52 points with six races remaining.
Max Verstappen has endured a tough spell despite amassing the most wins out of all the drivers this campaign. The Milton-Keynes-based team has failed to mitigate persistent issues within the RB20 so far this year. The team has also faced internal conflicts leading to the departure of key personnel from the squad.

Nigel Mansell has applauded Verstappen for his laser-sharp focus amidst the chaos within his team. Mansell thinks the reigning world champion will once again claim the coveted driver’s title this year.
I think that’s the great thing about Formula 1 – anything is possible. Max is the reigning world champion and has an incredible advantage to win another title this year. And with all the things that have happened at Red Bull, you have to take your hat off to Max for staying focused. His car is not as competitive as the others at the moment and he has had some fantastic races.
Nigel Mansell was reported saying by RacingNews365
The 27-year-old faces tough competition from his rivals heading into the last six races. His team has lost the constructors’ lead to McLaren, who currently leads by 41 points. All now rests on the shoulders of Verstappen, who will seek to make a return to the top step at Austin this month.
Max Verstappen admits that Red Bull possess an outdated wind tunnel
Max Verstappen confirmed the existence of some outdated infrastructure at Red Bull’s headquarters in Milton Keynes. The reigning champions have been far from effective with their upgrades for the RB20 so far this season.

It’s true that we have a fairly old wind tunnel, but until this year it did everything right. Some things are just hard to understand.
Max Verstappen told motorsport.com
Verstappen went on to claim that the wind tunnel worked wonders for the team up until this year, despite its old age. The 27-year-old appears clueless about the current situation within the Milton-Keynes-based team.
Red Bull’s sworn rivals McLaren won the Singapore GP last month with a commanding lead of 20 seconds. The Papayas are now the favorites to claim the constructors’ title given their solid pace. The champions now have no option but to find pace within the RB20 ahead of the remaining races.
