The 2022 F1 season has been disastrous for a team like Mercedes which until recently were dominating the sport. They have been unable to win a single race so far and much of the fault lies with the machinery. Due to budget cost cap, Mercedes have been unable to produce a race-winning car this season have been losing out to several teams in terms of pace.

The fans have been disappointed to see their beloved team’s performance this season as they have been struggling to compete with the top teams on the grid and have been forced to sit in third place in the constructors’ championship. Their drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russel are struggling to compete with the car, but steady upgrades with each race have in turn allowed them to improve slowly.

Hamilton still has hopes for an 8th world championship and with the correct car next year, he could possibly achieve it.
