Apart from this, Aston Martin had signed a deal with Honda for exclusive power units supply from 2026. Alonso will drive for the Silverstone-based team during its first year as a Honda works team. Mike Krack mentioned that he looked forward to creating more memories with Fernando Alonso, especially with the new regulations in 2026.

This multi-year agreement with Fernando takes us into 2026 when we begin our works power unit partnership with Honda. We look forward to creating more incredible memories and achieving further success together.
Mike Krack asserted

Aston Martin has already shown great pace and improvement as compared to the performance slump towards the latter part of the 2023 season. Hence, the Silverstone-based will provide Alonso with great racing opportunities in the coming two seasons. Time will tell if Fernando Alonso made the right call to continue with the British squad.
