McLaren driver Lando Norris won the Dutch Grand Prix with a commanding 22-second lead. Norris’ MCL38 looked unstoppable around the tricky Zandvoort circuit, which has raised some concerns among rival teams.
The Woking-based team implemented a new set of upgrades on the MCL38, which worked wonders for them. Lando Norris‘ impressive performance in the revamped challenger compelled Fernando Alonso to channel Ex-F1 champion Sebastian Vettel‘s infamous ‘inspector’ instincts after the Brit’s win.

Fernando Alonso dissects Aston Martin’s performance after Dutch GP
Aston Martin finished P10 and P13 in the 72-lap race despite starting the event in seventh and eighth after an encouraging qualifying session at Zandvoort. Fernando Alonso has since given his verdict on the team’s shortfalls after the race.
We knew that the top-four teams would take the top-eight positions today, so our fight was for P9 and P10. However, we didn't have the pace we needed and Pierre [Gasly] did a better job than us, so we had to settle for P10 and one point. It was a challenging race and we need to do more to understand the car to find where we can improve. We'll work through the data, both here and at the campus, before racing again next week in Italy.Fernando Alonso via astonmartinf1
Alonso claimed that the Silverstone-based team was not successful in finding the pace around Zandvoort on Sunday. The two-time world champion then said that Aston Martin has more work to do in understanding the functioning of the AMR24.
The challenger has been a source of concern for the team since the start of the season. Despite their recent improvements, the team has a lot more to learn and resolve ahead of a challenging event at Monza next week.
