In the days leading up to the US GP, Red Bull admitted they have a ride-height adjustment device. This device could violate technical regulations if used during parc fermé conditions. Red Bull insists it hasn’t been utilized and is inaccessible when the car is fully assembled.
The FIA inspected the device during practice in Austin, sealing it for further verification. While McLaren CEO Zak Brown stated that Red Bull has lingering questions to answer, Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur expressed his trust in the FIA’s judgment.
The controversy over Red Bull’s T-tray has intensified as rival teams looked to scrutinize them. Red Bull’s Christian Horner and Helmut Marko have openly criticized McLaren for being the most vocal about the situation. In contrast, Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur expressed his trust in the FIA’s judgment regarding Red Bull’s device.
The FIA closely monitored the situation surrounding Red Bull’s T-tray device and expressed no concerns about its legality. They suggested that the controversy might stem from rival teams as competition intensifies and teams scrutinize each other’s cars. While the stewards declined to comment further, they confirmed that the device is legal unless used under parc fermé conditions.

However, he acknowledged their competitive pace and remained optimistic about achieving good results in the race.
