Lewis Hamilton is now a Scuderia Ferrari driver. The seven-time world champion will race for the Prancing Horse under the leadership of team boss Fred Vasseur. Now, Vasseur has recalled how the British driver has remained the same as a person since the past two decades.
Fred Vasseur was Hamilton’s team boss in 2005 in Formula 3 Euro Series when the latter joined ART Grand Prix. The British driver went on to dominate the championship before stepping up to GP2 the following year, once again with Vasseur’s ART.
The Frenchman was asked what has remained unchanged in Lewis Hamilton since then. The Ferrari boss declared that the seven-time world champion still has the same bravery he showcased when he was just twenty years old. He pointed out that Hamilton has had to reimagine his whole career in the past twelve months since he decided to join the Scuderia.
The same bravery, otherwise he wouldn’t have joined us. The same emotional side, too. Over the last twelve months, he’s had to imagine, re-imagine and re-imagine his arrival in Maranello.
