Frederic ‘Fifo’ Guyot, the engineer who worked with Lewis Hamilton during his early years in F1, has opened up and admitted that the 2006 GP2 Sprint race in Turkey, has been Hamilton’s best drive of his racing career. Guyot believes what the Brit did during the sprint race was pure magic.
During the GP sprint race in Turkey, Hamilton was placed at P7, however, due to an early spin he ended up in P19. No one believed he would come any closer to the top five, but with his sheer dedication and persistence, Lewis Hamilton ended up on the podium.

While reminiscing about the incident, Guyot had the following to say.
Regarding the race in Istanbul, it's full of legends. Even the drivers asked me, 'What did you do in Istanbul?'' Nothing! I think that day he just made a big mistake by spinning and being in P7, with big pressure from [Nelson] Piquet [Jr.], who was coming back in the championship. And then he just did the best drive of his life that day.Frederic ‘Fifo’ Guyot said: GPfans
Despite having obstacles and being under immense pressure, Hamilton raced bravely which helped him in ending up on the podium. From this incident itself, one can see, the seven-time world champion’s ambition and greed for winning. Eventually, Hamilton ended up claiming the title, before making his F1 debut in 2007.
F1 Pundit deems Lewis Hamilton’s presence at Ferrari a double-edged sword for Charles Leclerc
This season began with the massive news of Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari in 2025. According to Jacques Villeneuve, a former F1 champion, Charles Leclerc who has been part of Ferrari for quite a while, might face some obstacles due to Hamilton’s arrival.

While talking about all of this, Villeneuve shared the following.
He still has to prove it. He’s shown a lot of speed, he’s shown that he’s super fast, but he’s not the one who won the race for Ferrari last year. So it will be interesting to see how that balances out inside Ferrari. This will be make or break for Charles, not for Lewis.Jaques Villeneuve via: GPfans
Leclerc was brought into the Red as a future world champion. However, the Monegasque driver has already been outshined by his teammate Carlos Sainz. While Ferrari has always prioritized Leclerc, things will change when Hamilton joins the Maranello-based squad. keeping everything in view, 2025 will be extremely facing from the team dynamics point of view.
