Mercedes driver George Russell has shared thoughts on his future despite ongoing rumors of Max Verstappen joining the team in the coming years. Russell has been a faithful performer for the Silver Arrows since joining in 2022.
Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has forever praised Max Verstappen for his pace and prowess in Formula 1. Wolff has expressed his delight upon being asked about his intent to sign the world champion in the near future.

George Russell has, however, not shown concern despite the possibility of Verstappen taking his seat in 2026. Russell has shown excitement for the new regulations but has yet to put pen to paper regarding a deal beyond 2025.

The 26-year-old has scored 126 points so far this season, amassing the win at Spielberg, along with two podiums so far. The remaining races of the campaign will be crucial for Russell and he will look to make his mark around the streets of Baku next week.

The Brackley-based team has been on a tough spell ever since the start of the 2022 season. They will now be keen on making their return to the top spots having secured the services of a young talent for the coming year.
