Netflix’s Drive To Survive(DTS) series is often accredited for the boom of F1 among Gen Z. With the sport’s popularity rising tremendously, series’ star Guenther Steiner became a celebrity in the paddock despite heading the smallest manufacturer in the sport. On the other hand, despite his tenure ending at Haas last year, he has been involved deeply with the sport. Subsequently, he set up his Instagram account in April and has posted multiple hilarious posts since then.
TikTok dances and trends are notoriously famous among fans, which have been capitalized upon by some of the F1 drivers. On the contrary, Guenther Steiner remained away from social media during his rut in the championship. Regardless, ever since he became a free agent, he has been often spotted in the paddock and has been a part of the Red Flags podcast to give his takes on the pressing issues within the grid.
However, he took a step away from F1 during the summer break and posted the Apple TikTok dance trend with his daughter Greta Steiner on Instagram.
The trend originally broke cover on TikTok, where it became popularised. Soon after, the Italian-American took his chance to ace the steps and did a tremendous job in a fun yet heartwarming father-daughter moment.
Guenther Steiner’s take on recent reshuffle in F1 driver market
While the summer break gives ample time for drivers and personnel to take up fun ventures, Carlos Sainz took the opportunity to announce his future plans over at Williams. Despite his optimism, the English team currently sits one spot away from being dead last in the championship, which took the 59-year-old by surprise.

The former team principal revealed his reaction on the Sainz-Williams news breaking cover.
I would say I'm surprised, not shocked. I'm a little bit surprised, but as I said before with the Audi, and as you said, if you bring like a Carlos Sainz and you've got a Nico Hulkenberg that attracts other talents because you are taken seriously, you have done everything you could to get the best people there and then people look like, wow, Carlos and Nico are driving for this team next year, that's cool.Guenther Steiner said on the Red Flags Podcast
Steiner admitted he was surprised by Sainz’s decision to choose Williams over Audi. The German marque has a reputation in the motorsport world of acing the regulations on their first ago, which made the move seem a bit off. However, he was not shocked by the Spaniard’s choice, as Williams seems to be on an upward trajectory in recent years.
Apart from this, the Italian-American currently works as an F1 commentator. Thus, he would be spotted at more races down the line and is understood to be playing an important role in another season of DTS which would be aired early next year.
