Lewis Hamilton has received a lot of mixed opinions over his late-career switch to Ferrari in 2025. A majority of people believe that the 40-year-old was ‘past his prime’ despite securing a lucrative deal. Former Haas F1 team boss Guenther Steiner urged the seven-time champion to not pay attention to negativity following the move.
Lewis Hamilton received backlash on the Ferrari move despite aiming to improve the team’s condition from within. Guenther Steiner, who has probably faced his fair share of criticism during Haas’ failure in the 2021 season, asked Hamilton to not think about the negativity. The Italian-American insisted that the 40-year-old would never achieve something second-guessing his decisions.

Steiner further motivated the seven-time champion noting that the situation would be taken care of once the latter reached the destination. The 59-year-old believed that one shouldn’t make changes in their career if they were afraid of failure from the get-go.
If it doesn’t work, you will take care of it when you get to your destination; if you think that it couldn’t work, you shouldn’t do it.

Lewis Hamilton is expected to return Ferrari to their glory days in Formula 1. Guenther Steiner speculated that Hamilton would give it his all to the Italian constructor. Steiner noted that the 40-year-old had thought a lot about his move and now must see it through to the end. Hence, this was the reason for Maranello having a great shot at championship contention under the Briton.
He must not waste time thinking that he cannot work, because this requires energy, so he does the best he can. He has obviously thought for a long time about this decision and said that this is what he wants to do, and now he has to go all the way. This could be the reason why Ferrari will become world champion again.

Ferrari has improved substantialy in recent years. Hamilton alongside Charles Leclerc would form a formidable pair, capable of maximizing points over the race weekend. Hence, the 2025 season would be exciting for the Tifosi as the Italian constructor would finally have a realistic shot at contending for both championships.
