Three-time world champion Max Verstappen has been central to rumors of driving for Mercedes instead of Red Bull in 2025. However, Red Bull Technical Advisor Helmut Marko has inevitably confirmed Verstappen’s presence with the team next year.

Max Verstappen is currently one of the most sought-after drivers on the grid. The Dutchman has been a formidable force, with the Milton Keynes-based team winning over 50 races, showcasing pure skill and prowess on the grid.

At the moment everything is clear, Max will drive for Red Bull Racing next season, and we have to give Max a car that win and all these rumours will stop immediately.
Helmut Marko said on the Inside Line F1 podcast

Verstappen leads the championship in 2024 with a handsome lead of 70 points, despite being winless in the past five races. He struggled with finding pace in the RB20 at Zandvoort and will be hoping for a change of outcomes this week at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza racing circuit.

Max Verstappen deems Red Bull’s RB20 as unresponsive at Dutch GP

McLaren driver Lando Norris won the Dutch Grand Prix with a staggering 22-second lead over second-placed Max Verstappen. Norris’ win really put out a massive statement to the rest of the chasing pack.

I was just doing my own race, looking after the tyres, I tried to do the best I could. But at one point, nothing was turning or responding anymore. So then Lando got quite close the first time, like he said, he was close but not close enough.

Verstappen said that he did the most to conserve tire degradation in the RB20 while being chased by Lando Norris in Zandvoort. He then concluded that the RB20 faced extreme understeer, which rendered it unresponsive after a certain point.

Norris and Verstappen have been the sole competitors for the top spots for pretty much most of the 2024 campaign. The next few races will be a turning point for both as they look to amass solid points/victories in the coming weeks.
