The 2024 F1 season has seen quite a few youngsters make their mark in some way. From Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli to Williams’ Franco Colapinto, the sport has witnessed a surge of young talents. Amidst this, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has revealed a surprise name who is ready for F1.
According to the 81-year-old, Red Bull junior Isack Hadjar is fully prepared to make his mark at the pinnacle of motor racing. Moreover, Marko has asserted that Hadjar was even faster than Franco Colapinto during their time together in the junior categories.
Marko was recently asked whether Hadjar is ready for the premier class of motorsport, as a response, he came up with the following.
Marko has wholeheartedly backed his driver to do well in F1. In recent times, it has been rumored that Hadjar could be entrusted with an RB (AlphaTauri) seat for the 2025 season in case Sergio Perez is altogether dropped from Red Bull.
Helmut Marko makes a ‘reaching a limit’ mark around Sergio Perez
Red Bull is currently in a fascinating predicament in terms of its driver line-up for the 2025 F1 season. Helmut Marko has opened the door for the potential arrival of Iscak Hadjar on the grid and has also made a remark about the out-of-form Sergio Perez.
Perez has so far managed to amass only 150 points in the driver’s championship.
The remaining four races of the 2024 F1 season hold tremendous significance for the six-time Grand Prix winner. He needs to amass a few podiums to somewhat solidify his case for the 2025 seat alongside Max Verstappen.
However, if he is unable to do so, there is a very strong possibility of him getting replaced by either Yuki Tsunoda or Liam Lawson at Red Bull. Both drivers have done well for the Red Bull sister team this year.
