Helmut Marko urges Red Bull to ‘rise to the challenge’ seeing the Lando Norris-led McLaren’s MIGHTY performances

The Red Bull Racing director, Helmut Marko has urged his team to cater to the challenges that are coming their way, with McLaren being the most potent threat of them all. The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix saw Max Verstappen take the win, with the papaya outfit being the most promising team at the circuit all weekend.

Red Bull had a slow start to the weekend at Imola, with the team struggling to match the pace of the Ferraris and the McLarens. But in qualifying, Red Bull outpaced both the rival teams to claim the pole position after the sheer brilliance of their reigning three-time world champion, Max Verstappen.

We definitely have to rise to the challenge with McLaren, and now we go to Monaco and there it's pretty much just about qualifying.

Helmut Marko told De Telegraaf

The Woking-based McLaren outfit have been a fair contender to Red Bull, with their drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri putting on heroic performances this season. Norris also bagged his first career win at the Miami Grand Prix, outpacing Max Verstappen by almost eight seconds.

Helmut Marko expecting big things from Charles Leclerc in Monaco

Helmut Marko has high hopes for Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, as the Monegasque driver looks to win in his home race (Monaco GP) for the very first time in his career. Leclerc has scored four podiums this season but has yet to register a Grand Prix win.

I think that[Monaco] will be the most difficult race so far for us in advance, also because of the bumps and kerbstones there. I also expect a lot from Ferrari there, especially from Charles Leclerc.

The Monaco Grand Prix is one of the most challenging tracks on the F1 calendar. It is mostly because of its narrow streets and kerbstones, which test the drivers to their utmost limit.

This week will show a very competitive race in Monaco and also, a crucial qualifying, as the circuit offers an advantage to the driver who qualifies the highest on the grid. Red Bull will look to continue their stellar form but will face stiff competition from the likes of Leclerc and Norris, who have been in decent form this season as well.
