Red Bull’s technical advisor Helmut Marko has shared the team’s verdict for the current season. Marko claims that Milton Keynes is predominantly focused on winning the 2024 drivers’ championship with Max Verstappen.

The three-time world champion Max Verstappen has been in strong form ever since his maiden title win in 2021. The Dutchman has secured titles back to back up until the previous season. Verstappen leads the standings by 62 points this year as well but has been far more shaky and vulnerable in his recent efforts.

Helmut Marko has thereafter talked about the need to ascertain a single objective in order to maximize results going forward. Marko has vested his full faith in the 26-year-old to win his fourth consecutive driver’s world championship this year.

Verstappen has been winless for the past six races and was heavily displeased with the RB20 in Monza. The Milton-Keynes outfit now has the task of developing a better challenger to help the Dutchman chart good performances for the team.

Ex-F1 driver deems Max Verstappen-led Red Bull as a vastly ‘deteriorating’ team

Former F1 racer Ralf Schumacher has laid down some stern observations with respect to Red Bull’s form this season. They have won the most races (seven) but currently hold a mere eight-point lead over second-placed McLaren in the Constructors Championship.

I have rarely seen a team that has deteriorated so much during the season. I can't think of any other example. We will soon go to circuits with more downforce, which seemingly suits Red Bull better, but even there this problem will keep coming back.

Ralf Schumacher has termed Red Bull to be on a deteriorating spell in comparison to their form during the initial rounds of 2024. Schumacher has also backed the team to bounce back but has not necessarily offered an optimistic tone to his arguments.

Verstappen and Co. have been struggling with persistent issues ever since the previous season. While some claim that the problems were not as big as they are now, others talk of utter negligence on the team’s behalf. The remaining eight races of the ongoing campaign are extremely crucial for Red Bull.
