Sergio Perez claims Max Verstappen ‘suddenly in the same boat’ over RB20 struggles after Italian GP

Red Bull’s last four races before the summer break were disappointing, causing them to lose crucial points to McLaren. Many expected them to recover in Zandvoort after the break, but the outcome was different. Lando Norris significantly improved, while Max Verstappen’s RB20 lacked pace, resulting in a 22-second loss to Norris. Things only got worse in Monza. Sergio Perez faced major performance issues before the break, and now Verstappen is experiencing similar problems due to the RB20’s flaws.
Sergio Perez in an interview explained that for the past ten races he had been dealing with the problems in his car. These issues made it difficult for him to perform well, which led to discussions about replacing him, but the decision was ultimately reversed. Now, Max Verstappen is suddenly facing the same problems with his car. His RB20 is experiencing the same lack of speed that Checo’s car had in past races, causing both drivers to lose points.

Sergio Perez confirms Red Bull has analyzed the problems of their RB20
Sergio Perez mentioned that there was some confusion about what was causing the problems with his car, but now it’s clear. He explained that they’ve analyzed the problems in the data they’ve collected from the car from the last two races. Checo hoped that the data would help the team identify and fix the issues causing their problems, particularly with the car’s balance.

Red Bull needs to resolve all their issues before the next race in Baku, as they are only 8 points ahead of McLaren. McLaren’s dominance in the last two races shows that if Red Bull doesn’t improve their car, they could lose the title. Fans hope Red Bull will work hard to fix these problems and provide Max Verstappen with a car capable of winning races again.
