Sergio Perez adamant on finishing his Formula 1 career on his own terms

I want to finish my career when I want and not when someone tells me. That’s my main focus: to get to the point where I can decide my future. For now I am very motivated, to be honest, I really want to continue in F1. I enjoy it. Especially the good times you enjoy, but you also learn to enjoy the bad ones.

Sergio Perez told DAZN

Perez talks of seeking control over the decisions regarding his future. The Mexican driver has claimed of being motivated despite the setbacks and wants to consider retirement only when he feels like it.

Perez showed signs of excellence during the opening races of the season, which reignited a spark in the minds of his team. He will now try to tap into some of that lost energy to re-establish his worth as a top driver in Formula 1.
