The 2024 season witnessed peak competition and excitement at the forefront amongst multiple drivers. Lewis Hamilton broke his almost 1000-day no-win streak with a stellar victory at the British GP. Max Verstappen on the other hand maintained a consistent performance and won his fourth world championship. However, despite Verstappen’s masterclass in 2024, RB’s rookie Isack Hadjar didn’t label the former a GOAT.
Max Verstappen proved himself to be amongst the GOATs in Formula 1 with his fourth consecutive championship win. Lewis Hamilton suffered from a rather disappointing season after finishing in P6 despite two highly coveted race wins. Isack Hadjar, who came up the ranks at the Red Bull academy, named Hamilton as his GOAT, not the reigning world champion.
Hadjar reckoned that Lewis Hamilton‘s career in Formula 1 was simply on another level. The 20-year-old claimed that the Briton was a ‘GOAT’ and his favorite driver in the pinnacle of motorsport. Moreover, the RB-bound driver felt inspired by the seven-time world champion to perform better in the sport.
Lewis Hamilton is the ‘most complete’ driver in Formula 1
Isack Hadjar didn’t hesitate to snub Max Verstappen to label Lewis Hamilton as the most complete driver in Formula 1. Hadjar felt that since his early days in single-seater racing, he placed Hamilton as the reference point with the latter being the guy to beat. As a result, the 20-year-old shared a deep sense of love for the 39-year-old and reiterated how he felt inspired by the latter.
Multiple rookie drivers will enter the grid with various teams in the 2025 season. Hadjar will face stern competition from his rivals to be named rookie of the season. However, the 20-year-old will look forward to his debut with RB alongside Yuki Tsunoda and aim to perform well from the get-go.
