Max Verstappen emphasizes making ‘good steps’ for the rest of 2024

The lights of McLaren, Ferrari, and even Mercedes have all got the better of the Milton-Keynes-based at some point this season. Moreover, as things stand, they are currently 41 points adrift of McLaren in the constructors championship.

However, despite all the problems, the three-time world champion is staying in a positive mind frame.

I do think we are moving in the right direction now, but it will take some time. You can’t turn something like this around in one or two weeks. But I do think the team was happy with what they saw in Baku, hopefully, we can continue to make good steps from here.

The 2024 F1 season has only six races remaining on the calendar. Verstappen is leading the driver’s championship by 52 points but has a fast-charging Lando Norris behind him. Keeping in view everything that has been discussed, the end-of-the-season battle in both the championships could prove to be a nail-biting affair.
