Lewis Hamilton‘s first visit to Ferrari’s factory nears as the team rushes to prepare the chassis for the seven-time world champion. The Italian constructor has high hopes banked on the 40-year-old to take them back to their championship-winning days. As a result, ahead of the eminent debut, Ex-F1 driver Jean Alesi revealed the condition for Hamilton to be labeled as a ‘hero forever’ by the Tifosi.
Lewis Hamilton has proved his racecraft enough after winning over seven championship titles in the past. Amidst Hamilton’s Ferrari move, Jean Alesi reckoned that the former didn’t have much to prove. However, racing for the Prancing Horse might change his life, and winning would convert him into a ‘champion of champions’. The 40-year-old needed to win with Maranello in order to achieve this honor.
According to Alesi, apart from winning races, Hamilton was exceptionally good at reading the tire conditions and traffic. The 60-year-old claimed that it wasn’t just the Briton’s experience that helped him become so good at interpreting these conditions. Rather, the 40-year-old’s ‘different feeling’ facilitated him to remain strong in terms of race pace.
Jean Alesi labeled Lewis Hamilton’s pair-up with Charles Leclerc as ‘interesting’
Lewis Hamilton would form a highly formidable pair with Charles Leclerc at Ferrari in 2025. Leclerc’s strong qualifying performances would cause Hamilton problems due to the latter’s known issues during qualifying. As a result, Jean Alesi reckoned that the pair-up between the two would be interesting due to these conditions.
Ferrari’s recent upturn in performance in the 2024 season is a highly motivating factor for Hamilton. Team Principal Fred Vasseur had already deemed the 40-year-old a ‘great asset’ amidst the team’s championship ambitions. Hence, the coming season would be highly exciting for the seven-time world champion as he could finally contend for the championship once again.
