Max Verstappen came out victorious in the recently concluded 2024 Brazilian Grand Prix. Starting from P17, he shocked everyone up and down the paddock alongside the F1 fans who were tuning in from all over the globe, securing the win taking advantage of a red-flag incident mid-way to the race.
Following the result, Max Verstappen‘s father Jos Verstappen has put out a major statement. He has asserted that his son is the best amidst the recent backlash the former got for his tussles with McLaren’s Lando Norris.
Jos strongly insisted that his son is the best driver on the modern grid of the pinnacle of motor racing!
He has shown who is the very best. And certainly to all those English journalists, ex-drivers, and commentators. I think Max was insane today. I’ve been through a lot with him, but today was one of the best.

Verstappen Sr. has come up with a scathing attack toward the critics of his son. Moreover, he has especially pointed out the British media for their bias toward the British drivers in the sport. This was indirectly pointed out by Max himself in the Brazilian GP post-race press conference.

While Jos Verstappen has wholeheartedly deemed his son as the best ahead of top drivers like Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc, he feels the job is pretty much done in the title picture. As things stand, Max Verstappen has so far amassed 393 points.
Norris, on the other hand, is stuck on 331 after his timid Interlagos outing.
This is very positive though. Let’s hope so. Anything can happen very much and very quickly. There are still three races to go. We have a bit more rest now, but it looks good.

Norris and Verstappen have been at each other’s throats during the 2024 F1 season. They have had quite a few on-track clashes and at moments, things got extremely heated between them.
After Interlagos, the sport has gone into a short break before the action kicks off at the iconic Las Vegas Grand Prix. In 2023, the event was won by Verstappen and he will be eyeing the same this year as well. However, much would depend on how well the inconsistent RB20 would be able to perform around the super-fast Las Vegas street circuit.
