Self critical Lando Norris asserts he has the ‘confidence’ to fight for 2025 F1 title
Lando Norris highlighted that he had the confidence to fight for the drivers' title in the 2025 season after learning from his mistakes.

Lando Norris had an impressive campaign in 2024 and emerged as one of the championship contenders. Despite having arguably the fastest chassis on the grid, Norris committed silly errors that ultimately cost him the win. As a result, the 25-year-old put forth his confidence in fighting for the championship in the 2025 season.
Lando Norris has been widely known for being too harsh and critical of himself and his performances on the grid. After taking in the learnings from the 2024 season, Norris reckoned that he was entering the 2025 season after learning a lot. The 25-year-old was confident that he learned a lot in terms of racing and was ready to bring the fight to ‘everyone’.
The upcoming season will showcase multiple changes amongst the top teams, especially with Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari. Norris pointed out that trusting someone was something that he struggled with a lot in the past. However, the Briton gathered enough confidence in himself and was positive that he could contend for the world championship. The 25-year-old reiterated that he was willing to fight ‘anyone’ for the championship.
Lando Norris ‘proud’ of 2024 performance despite losing drivers’ title
McLaren dominated the grid towards the latter-half of the season and secured the constructors’ championship win. Due to this, Lando Norris has a great shot heading into the 2025 season. The Briton, despite losing the drivers’ title, noted that he was proud of the team in terms of performance. Moreover, Norris highlighted that he was proud to run under the pressure subjected to the Woking-based team. The 25-year-old asserted that he learned a lot from the multiple mistakes he committed throughout the season.
The 2025 season will be extremely exciting as multiple teams set eyes on the championship contention. The playing field seems leveled now amongst the top four teams with many others looking to join the battle. Norris’ great partnership with Oscar Piastri will also help Woking maximize points over the course of the campaign.
