Lando Norris expects to ‘crash more’ with Max Verstappen in pursuit of F1 world championship

Lando Norris has been on a strong run during the 2024 F1 season. He triumphed at the Miami Grand Prix and has since been very close to Red Bulls Max Verstappen in pursuit of victories. The two collided at the Austrian Grand Prix and while the sport is at a halt with the ongoing summer break, Norris has admitted that there will be more ‘crashes’ with Verstappen.
The young Brit believes if he has to amass the coveted F1 world championship somewhere down the line, he will inevitably have more crashes with Max Verstappen. The Dutchman has been dominating the sport since 2022 and is today, considered the best driver on the modern grid.
Lando Norris is well aware of this and thus, expects to bang wheels with Verstappen often in pursuit of championship glory.

Looking at the reaction of the prolific Brit, it is quite clear that considering the nature of F1, it is just not possible to go about doing things without any crashes. Norris and Verstappen had a huge crash at the Red Bull Ring, it cost both of them the chance to triumph at the event.
Lando Norris deems racing on-track as a ‘different world’
While Norris has admitted that he will have more crashes in the upcoming years, he has also talked about how he feels while racing. The 24-year-old believes when he is out on track, it is like a completely different world compared to when he is away from it.
Norris made his debut at the pinnacle of motor racing in 2019.

Lando Norris is easily one of the best drivers on the current grid. He is rated very highly in the paddock and is often deemed by many as a future world champion.
During the ongoing campaign, the McLaren driver is very much in the running for the world championship. Considering what he said about crashing with Verstappen, the duo could be seen producing some fireworks in the remaining 10 races of the season.
