Lando Norris gave the 2024 F1 world champion Max Verstappen a solid fight. The extremely up-and-down campaign is done and dusted and Norris has stressed that in 2025, he will go all-out in pursuit of championship glory.

Lando Norris was in the fight against the reigning world champion up until the Las Vegas GP. Moreover, at the end of the overall season, the Brit fell short by just 63 points against Max Verstappen. Norris amassed 374 in comparison to Verstappen’s 437.

In light of this and McLaren’s first constructors’ triumph since 1998, Norris has asserted that 2025 will be his year in the drivers’ tussle!

Norris had some fierce battles with Verstappen in the recently concluded season. Moreover, on many occasions, the duo banged wheels with each other, which was followed by some brutal verbal digs. All in all, the young Brit learned a lot about fighting at the front end of the grid.

They’ve been very solid since Miami. Quick moments on every track. So naturally then they are I think very deserving to be up there and win a championship. Because naturally from our side we hoped also to be in that fight, but too many things went wrong.

McLaren amassed six Grand Prix wins and an impressive 21 podiums in the 2024 season. Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris brought out their A-game that helped the papaya in ending Red Bull’s dominance in the sport. The ground-effect era has pretty much belonged to the Milton-Keynes-based team.

The 2025 F1 campaign will begin with the Australian Grand Prix. Ahead of that, there is the ongoing winter break, in which the drivers can relax. The regulations are going to remain the same for next year, and the teams will only get closer. Keeping in view everything that has been discussed, fireworks could go off between Norris and Verstappen.
