Lando Norris declares he’s ‘recharged’ to bounce back at Miami GP

Lando Norris has struggled to keep up with his race-winning pace despite racing in a superior chassis compared to his rivals in the 2025 season. Norris managed to win only one race out of the first five races. Now, ahead of the Miami GP, the Briton has raised confidence in his winning chances at the same track where he achieved his maiden win.
Lando Norris’ performance over the first triple header of the 2025 season remained mediocre as per McLaren standards. The 25-year-old also lost the drivers’ championship lead to Oscar Piastri due to deteriorating performances. Still, Norris is P2 in the standings as he aims to bridge the gap to his Aussie counterpart. The Briton rested well over the one-week break following the triple header and is now confident of getting up to speed for the next race.
Speaking about the upcoming Miami GP, Lando Norris reckons that he feels recharged after taking a break from the triple header. Now, the 25-year-old is excited to get back in the car and contend for the race wins, especially in Miami. The first American race in the calendar will be special for the Briton as he will return to the place where he won his first race.

The Briton put forth his excitement to witness the papaya people in the special stand created for the McLaren fans. Woking’s performance in the 2025 season has remained better compared to its rivals at the forefront. Now, the 25-year-old must ensure that he causes no mistakes on the grid and maximizes his performance in order to remain at the top of the table.
In addition, the fans here create a great atmosphere, I’m excited to see all the papaya people in the stands.

Lando Norris spent extra time on simulator for Miami GP
Lando Norris did not spend the entire week taking a break from Formula 1 and remained active to improve his performance. The 25-year-old asserts that he visited the McLaren Technology Center and spent time with the team and the engineers. Norris will still need to work hard on his pace as he isn’t able to score results good enough to achieve even more race wins this year.

Norris revealed that he spent extended amounts of time preparing on the simulator ahead of the Miami GP. This would help the Briton gain great experience and figure out where the MCL-39 chassis excels around the circuit. The 25-year-old also anticipates a nice weekend in Miami as he is ready to battle it out on the track and fight hard for the race win.
