McLaren driver, Lando Norris appeared to be extremely disappointed after it was made known that Charles Leclerc was given only a reprimand after making contact with the Brit during FP3. Max Verstappen revealed this news to Norris post-qualifying, which caused a stir in the mind of the 24-year-old.

Lando Norris took pole position in spectacular fashion, edging Max Verstappen by almost two-tenths of a second in Barcelona. However, Norris was a bit dejected about a decision regarding an incident during FP3, in which, Charles Leclerc made contact with the 24-year-old.

Norris impeded Leclerc towards the end of FP3 to which the Ferrari driver drove past the McLaren star to say some words regarding the incident. But in an attempt to do so, Leclerc collided with Norris’s front wing causing a stir within both the teams.

Charles Leclerc was only given a warning by the FIA after the incident which came as a shock to Lando Norris after Max Verstappen told him so, post their runs in qualifying. The two young drivers will now be looking to settle it out on track on during the 66-lap Spanish GP.

Charles Leclerc optimistic regarding upgrades despite poor qualifying in Barcelona

Charles Leclerc has claimed that the upgrades brought by Ferrari have borne fruit for the team in a good way, despite missing out on a front-row start for the Spanish GP. Leclerc will start from P5 after missing out on the pole position by five-tenths.

Charles Leclerc had an encouraging start to the weekend in Barcelona and performed well in practice while charting P3 in FP3. However, qualifying proved to be difficult for the Monegasque, as he was overshadowed by the brilliance of Verstappen and Norris.

Leclerc, however, has vested his faith in the upgrades brought to the car by Ferrari and is hopeful of good performances on Sunday. The Monegasque driver will be looking to make a swift return back to the podiums and points after a disappointing Canadian GP, it ended in a DNF for the 26-year-old.
