For a week, I was pretty down after Brazil. I had the realization that things were out of my control. It was pretty demoralising, but you learn to accept – that’s life.

Looking at the reaction of the 25-year-old, it is quite clear that he has pretty much given up on the 2024 drivers’ championship. The ongoing campaign has only three races remaining and Norris is currently 62 points behind Max Verstappen.

Nothing is going to change.

Lando Norris said ahead of Las Vegas GP

Norris has been one of the standout performers of the 2024 F1 season. He has shone brightly this year and has managed to amass three Grand Prix wins alongside his 12 podium finishes.

The 25-year-old could have had more had certain things panned out in his favor. McLaren is leading the constructors championship after a very long time and Norris’ main target now will be to keep his team at the front while closing the gap to Verstappen as much as possible. The remaining three races of the year will be extremely fascinating for varied reasons.
