Max Verstappen recently debuted at the Nürburgring GT3 race after previously attaining his Permit A license. The F1 legend not only exceeded expectations in the race but also went on to win his very first race in the category. Verstappen proved his racing prowess to everyone and his true passion for motorsports.

Even though the 27-year-old is making great strides in racing, Lando Norris stripped the former of his achievements and issued yet another controversial statement. Currently, Max Verstappen is on a hot winning streak after he picked up two consecutive race wins in F1 at the Italian and Azerbaijan GP.

The GT3 victory only proved just how much of a dominant driver Verstappen really is. However, speaking of the Dutchman’s personal milestones, Lando Norris insisted that it was easier for the former to participate in various categories of motorsports. Lando Norris asserted that he held respect for Max Verstappen to go on and participate in the GT3 category and dominate the track.

The Briton believed that Verstappen was in a much easier position in Formula 1 to participate in other motorsports. Norris continued that if the Dutchman were to fight for a championship in F1 and try out new sports at the same time, it wouldn’t be a good look for him.

I respect Max for going and doing such a thing, He’s in a much easier position to go and do those things, if he’s fighting for a championship, and those kind of things, it probably wouldn’t look the best.

Lando Norris said, as reported by motorsport.com.

Further, Lando Norris pointed out that Max Verstappen has already won four titles and was in a position to potentially contend for one more down the season with Red Bull. Although Verstappen can win the title, Norris believes that he has a much easier time on the F1 track than he or Oscar Piastri. As such, the Briton noted that if his life was easy on the track as well, he’d go and participate in various motorsports.

He’s in a position where he’s also won four championships. He’s not miles off a championship this year, it can still be possible if Red Bull turn things around. He has a bit of an easier time than maybe what me and Oscar do at the minute, but certainly in my future, I’ll go and do it.

Lando Norris added.

Lando Norris compares his ‘desire’ with Max Verstappen’s

Max Verstappen has made his mark in multiple motorsport categories, and even sim-racing. Meanwhile, Lando Norris is purely an F1 driver and competed once in the 24 Hours of Daytona back in 2018. Still, Norris reckons that he would partake in many categories once he finds time for them. As such, the Briton compared his desire for racing to that of the reigning world champion.

Lando Norris claimed that he had the same desire and want to go on and participate in various motorsports. Norris wants to go out and do whatever he enjoys, but he has yet to do so. However, the Briton declared that the one thing he would never try is racing on Ovals, something which even Max Verstappen might agree on.

I have the same want and desire as Max to go and do other things, and just go do whatever I enjoy. I think the main thing probably will never do is oval racing, it’s just not for me.

Lando Norris noted.

The 2025 season of Formula 1 has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride for Lando Norris and Max Verstappen. Currently, Verstappen is trailing Norris by just 44 points and can bridge the gap very soon. For now, both drivers will focus on the upcoming Singaporean GP and scoring the best possible results. The Dutchman will give it his all in the final seven races and hopes to emerge victorious in the end.
