McLaren’s Lando Norris stole the show during yesterday’s highly-contested Spanish Grand Prix qualifying session. He put his MCL38 through the absolute wringer and in the process, amassed a well-deserved pole position.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen ended up second but seeing the extremely close margins in Q3, Lando Norris feels that up to eight cars are in with a shot in the upcoming race. Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull, and McLaren will all be starting the Spanish GP in close vicinity of each other.

We've not done loads of long-running. We've done a bit and I think we were close, as it always has been. I think between Mercedes, ourselves, Red Bull, and Ferrari, there are eight cars that could have probably been on pole and that have a chance of probably winning the race.
Lando Norris said in an interview with Racingnews365

During the ongoing season, the lights of McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes have made up immense lost ground to Red Bull. This is one of the reasons why there have already been 3-4 different pole sitters already this year. Lando Norris was even able to triumph at the Miami GP.
