Lando Norris sets eyes on ‘winning home race’ the British GP following controversial crash with Max Verstappen in Austria
Lando Norris suffered an unfortunate DNF because of the collision with Max Verstappen in Spielberg.

McLaren driver, Lando Norris and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen were involved in a lap 64 crash during the Austrian Grand Prix, which cost them the win at the event. Verstappen was reprimanded with a 10-second penalty with an additional two penalty points on his super license by the FIA.
Lando Norris has been one of the best contenders for the championship this season and has put up a tough fight against Max Verstappen on numerous occasions. However, a proposed overtake by the Brit on the three-time world champion ended in agony as they made contact coming out of a specific turn in Spielberg.
However, the 24-year-old British driver has refused to look back on the incident and is currently focused on performing well to win his upcoming home race at Silverstone. Norris won the Miami Grand Prix this season, notching up his first career triumph in the pinnacle of motorsport. He has also scored six podiums in 11 races.

Lando Norris has vested his full faith in McLaren and their consistent competence ahead of the team’s home race in Silverstone. The papayas will be yearning for a breath of fresh air after a controversial race in Spielberg as they eye a second race win for the season.
Oscar Piastri reminisces rookie memories ahead of British GP
While Norris has set his sights on victory in Silverstone, Oscar Piastri finished P3 last year in the event after a thundering performance by the then-rookie Australian driver. Piastri has hence talked of the overwhelming support for the papayas ahead of an exciting return.

Oscar Piastri has become a promising newcomer to the world of F1 following a string of impressive performances for McLaren since the past year. The 23-year-old missed out on the win in Austria last week by only 1.9 seconds to Mercedes, entailing yet another encouraging run by him.
McLaren is currently third in the constructors championship and while the Woking-based team has been formidable this campaign, wins have not been their strong suit. The upcoming race in Silverstone will test the papayas for the third week in a row against the likes of Ferrari and Red Bull, who lead the championship race this season.
