Lando Norris, the McLaren F1 driver, against all odds has managed to secure his maiden F1 win at the 2024 Miami GP. Red Bulls’ Max Verstappen was tipped as the early favorite to come out victorious but certain incidents during the race played out in Norris’s favor.

Lando Norris has been competing at the pinnacle of motor racing since 2019 but has yet to score a Grand Prix win. However, with his most recent F1 outing in Miami, he has changed this and has finally got a win under his belt.

While the Brit and the whole McLaren outfit are ecstatic with the win, the whole tide of the race turned when Haas’s Kevin Magnussen collided with Williams Logan Sargeant. It ultimately led to a safety car and allowed Norris to make a vital pitstop.

Moreover, as the race got going, the 24-year-old was able to hold off the challenge of Max Verstappen for the rest of the event. The Miami Grand Prix has undoubtedly proven to be the best race of this year so far!

Lando Norris ecstatic after ‘finally’ securing his maiden F1 win

While Lando Norris has managed to secure his first Grand Prix win in F1, he is also extremely pleased with his effort. Moreover, during the post-race interview, he did not hold back from showering immense praise on his McLaren team.

He is extremely grateful for the work the Andrea Stella-led team has put in with the MCL38 this year.

It's about time, huh? What a race! It's been a long time coming, but finally, I've been able to do it. I'm so happy for my whole team, I finally delivered for them.

Looking at the heartwarming reaction of Lando Norris, it is quite clear that he is immensely pleased and also relieved after finally managing a Grand Prix win in F1. Moreover, looking ahead, it seems that Norris and Co. could pull off a few more such results this year. The team has been on an upward trajectory and Norris would hope that his Miami win is the first of many to come this year and in the upcoming years!
