Lando Norris is competing against reigning world champion Max Verstappen for the 2024 F1 title. The two drivers have had some heated moments on-track this season including the Mexican GP. However, the McLaren driver seems to have gained confidence after outscoring the 27-year-old last weekend.
Norris took second place in Mexico. On the other hand, Verstappen finished in sixth place due to two 10-second penalties for pushing the 24-year-old off-track at the start of the race. This has brought the points gap between the two drivers to 47 points with four races to go.
The McLaren driver highlighted that he was feeling great after his podium finish at the Mexican GP. Lando Norris mentioned that this was a major boost for the team in the middle of a hectic triple-header. As the 24-year-old tries to close the gap to Max Verstappen.
Lando Norris: "It’s great to be going into the weekend following a P2 finish in Mexico. It’s been a busy couple of weeks for us all with back-to-back races, so it's nice to get a strong result in at the halfway point before we head to Brazil."
