Lando Norris has emerged as the main contender to Max Verstappen for the 2024 F1 world title. The British driver has been slowing closing in on the Dutchman in the standings. However, Norris acknowledged that it will be no easy feat to defeat the three-time world champion.

The British driver took victory in Singapore and showed that he had the pace to beat Red Bull on merit. Currently, Norris trails behind Max Verstappen by 52 points with six races to go. Lando Norris admitted that it is a significant margin to recover.

I still have many points to recover and it will not be easy to do so.

Norris further reiterated that he understood that defeating Verstappen was not going to be an easy thing to achieve. The 24-year-old labeled Max Verstappen and Red Bull as the most dominant pairing in F1. As the Dutch driver created history during his title campaign last season. Lando Norris stated that he perhaps had one of the toughest rivals ever seen in Formula 1.
