Lando Norris has started in pole position six times so far this season. However, he has won only once from the several pole starts. His inability to be clinical at the start of a race has cost him greatly in the title race.

Max Verstappen bemoans Red Bull’s pace after qualifying P4
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen faced issues with his RB20 yet again at the Sprint qualifying at Interlagos. He could only manage to qualify in P4, missing out on the pole position by an extremely small margin.
Max Verstappen: "As soon as we went into qualifying, it looked like we were definitely off. The bumpy areas, it isn't good for our car – it is costing me lap time. When you are already off over one lap – I don't think you'll be the strongest in the race, but we'll see."

Max Verstappen has complained of issues with the RB20’s pace around the bumpy section of the Interlagos circuit. Red Bull’s issues around tracks with greater kerbs and bumps have been prevalent throughout the 2024 season.
The 27-year-old leads the drivers’ championship by 47 points but faces a serious threat from Lando Norris. Verstappen could hence very well lose his lead if he continues to come out second-best in races due to the persistent issues.
