Lando Norris failed to achieve the pole position at the Las Vegas GP amidst his declining championship prospects. The Briton has only one shot at continuing the championship contention through the American weekend. Norris must finish ahead of Max Verstappen in order to continue the battle for the drivers’ championship. Hence, amidst the ongoing battle, the 25-year-old highlighted his desire for the title fight.

McLaren’s dominant pace throughout the season has enabled them to breeze past Red Bull in the constructors’ championship. However, Lando Norris is still struggling to amass results good enough to topple Max Verstappen from the top. Verstappen has a chance to win the championship at the Las Vegas GP if he finishes ahead of the Briton.

Lando Norris claimed that he would do everything he could to fight for the championship. The Briton would not give up until the end and is prepared to put forth the best results possible. Moreover, Norris highlighted that McLaren was quick on the straights at the Las Vegas GP which could provide a massive advantage to the team.

Lando Norris asserts Mercedes and Ferrari ‘out of reach’ at the Las Vegas GP

Mercedes and Ferrari showcased a great overturn in pace and performance at the Las Vegas GP with George Russell clinching the pole. Moreover, both the Scuderia drivers were ahead of McLaren in Qualifying. As a result, the 25-year-old noted that both Mercedes and Ferrari were out of reach as he anticipated a podium finish or P4 finish at best.

Probably just the top 3 or 4, are out of reach. Mercedes have been out of reach, and Ferrari are with them. Red Bull and ourselves are a bit behind.

McLaren is also in a battle with Ferrari for the constructors’ championship. The top two teams are just 36 points apart as the competition peaks at the forefront. The final three races are extremely crucial for Woking to perform well as a lot is at stake. Hence, the end-of-the-season battle builds up in excitement for the drivers’ and fans alike.
