Adrian Newey has yet to declare anything about his future in Formula 1 after shockingly quitting Red Bull. The aero-genius was rumored to take a break from the sport overall. However, multiple other claims have reported the 65-year-old to join Aston Martin or Ferrari in the coming season.
Hence, there have been some new additions to those claims especially containing Max Verstappen. According to Autosprint, Aston Martin has closely matched Ferrari’s offer and provided Adrian Newey with $100 Million.
Apart from this, even Max Verstappen has garnered the interest of Lawrence Stroll. The source claims that the negotiations are already underway intending to acquire the reigning world champion by 2026.
Ferrari was believed to have already signed a deal with Adrian Newey for over $105 Million over four years. There were no further additions to these previous claims as Newey decided to keep complete silence. However, Aston Martin’s interest in the technical wizard isn’t discovered recently. Senior Stroll wanted to acquire the Englishman after landing a power units deal with Honda for 2026.
Autosprint reporting that Newey goes to Aston Martin and will be announced at the beginning of September.

Adrian Newey’s Aston Martin deal could be revealed in coming months
Max Verstappen’s formidable driving form could finally enable Aston Martin to perform well in the 2026 season. Verstappen’s pairing with Newey in the team backed by a Honda power unit could further be an interesting situation. Additionally, even the team’s principal Mike Krack didn’t rule out the possibility of Newey’s entry to Silverstone-based constructor.
According to the same source, Newey’s contract with Aston Martin spanning over four years was soon to be revealed. The final contract could be released as soon as September of this year. Hence, the coming few months will be witnessing the course of action for Verstappen as well as Newey.
Newey is currently enjoying some time off from the hectic schedule of a Formula 1 engineer. The 65-year-old had previously opened up as being present at Red Bull only for PR. Keeping Red Bull’s current struggles in view, it is only fair for Verstappen to keep his options open for the coming seasons.
