Lewis Hamilton recently announced Angela Cullen‘s return as his physiotherapist in Formula 1. Cullen and Hamilton had parted ways in 2023 but the two joined together following the former’s switch to Ferrari. Now, ahead of the season’s commencement, the Briton celebrated the physiotherapist’s return.

Lewis Hamilton had talked highly of Angela Cullen‘s stint with Marcus Armstrong in IndyCar. However, Hamilton believed that Cullen was crucial for his championship ambitions. As a result, the Kiwi rejoined the 40-year-old following his Ferrari move. The Briton emphasized the impact of the 50-year-old on the former’s career.

Hamilton highlighted that he had known Cullen for a very long time and had gone through a lot with her. The 40-year-old claimed that inviting the Kiwi back to his squad and her accepting was an exciting ordeal for both of them. The Briton revealed that the two had a blast in the past month after announcing the 50-year-old’s return.

We’ve known each other for a long, long time. We’ve gone through a lot together. And she took a couple years out, and she spent time with her family and, discovering the world. And asking her to come and start this new chapter with me, and her accepting it, was really exciting. And we’ve been having a blast, this past month together has been really awesome.

Lewis Hamilton believed that a strong support system was required for any person to excel in their career. The 40-year-old revealed that he had a good base of people around him for many years that helped him perform well. Hamilton pointed out that he came into Ferrari with the same set of people but also bought Angela Cullen back which was further delightful.

I mean, it’s always important to have a good foundation of people around you. I’ve generally had a very good base for many, many years. I still have all the element, all the team that I had last year, but I’ve brought Angie on top of that.

Hamilton now seems truly ready for a championship contention with Ferrari in the 2025 season. The seven-time champion put forth some decent lap time in the pre-season test. Time will tell about how he fares against the Tifosi’s massive hopes banked in him to return Ferrari to its glory.
