Lewis Hamilton will join Scuderia Ferrari in 2025. The British driver will leave Mercedes after spending over a decade with the Silver Arrows. However, Hamilton’s present team has improved in recent rounds, raising questions if the seven-time world champion was having second thoughts over his decision.

Hamilton secured his first podium of the season in 2024. Nevertheless, the Briton asserted he had no second thoughts. The 39-year-old highlighted that he has been related to Mercedes since he was 13 years old. Presently, Lewis Hamilton was focused on contributing to team’s efforts in improving the W15.

No, not at all. Firstly I love Mercedes, I’ve been with Mercedes since I was 13 and I’ll always be a fan and supporter. My job right now is to work as hard as I can with the crew that I have.

My job will start next year with the other team, who I think are a doing great job. Let’s not forget they had a race win in Monaco... they did bring an upgrade here and I think they are definitely progressing. But it doesn’t make me second guess my decision at all.

The seven-time world champion claimed that he wanted to be on the same trajectory as the team. As Mercedes continues to develop its car. Subsequently, Lewis Hamilton asserted that he would be proud of the team’s progress even after he joins Scuderia Ferrari next season.

Ultimately, whatever course and trajectory that the team [Mercedes] is on, for next year for example, there are things that I’ll hopefully be a part of, and be proud of.
Lewis Hamilton stated

Certainly, Lewis Hamilton still holds massive respect for Mercedes. However, the seven-time world champion has made it clear that he has no doubts over his decision to join Ferrari. As such, the British driver would be pushing himself to the limit to ensure an ideal farewell to the Brackley-based team at the end of this season.
