Lewis Hamilton breaks down his ‘recovery process’ to keep up with ‘constantly changing’ demands of modern F1

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has been racing in Formula 1 for over 17 years. Despite facing hardships and rough spells, Hamilton has shown no signs of slowing down and is going strong at the age of 39.
Lewis Hamilton was off to a slow start in 2024, failing to win or score a podium in the first nine races. However, he has found his feet, winning twice and notching four podiums in the last five races before the ongoing summer break.
The 39-year-old has talked of the ever-demanding nature of the pinnacle of motorsport while citing his approach to it. Hamilton has also broken down his recovery process to adapt to the different needs of the sport.
You definitely adapt always, and you learn you have to just watch your energy. Recovery is huge, a really big part of the process. It’s the whole 360 thing. It’s not just going to the gym. It’s how much you stretch, how much physio you end up doing, what you eat. And that’s constantly changing week by week. Hamilton is set to leave the Brackley-based Mercedes team at the end of the season after spending 12 glorious years. His new journey will start with Ferrari, where he will try his best to achieve his targets from 2025 onwards.
Toto Wolff outlines Mercedes’ objective ahead of second half of 2024
Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has been in high praise of his team in light of their recent performances. The Silver Arrows have won three of the last four races, showcasing sheer pace and balance with their ever-improving W15.
It is difficult to say what will happen in the final 10 races. The competitive order between the top four is close. That is a good thing though as it is making the sport incredibly exciting. Toto Wolff has wished for his team to finish amongst the top three in the championship this season. Wolff has, however, predicted an insanely competitive battle between the top teams, for which, Mercedes has to be strong in notching wins.
The Brackley-based outfit currently stand fourth behind Ferrari in the constructors championship. They will now hope to race with the same intensity as that of the first half in order to secure maximum points out of the ten remaining races this campaign.
