Lando Norris has finally emerged victorious in the 2025 driver’s title battle after a long-fought battle with Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri for the win. The Briton suffered from massive ups and downs over the years, but performed when it mattered the most.
Norris became the first British driver after Lewis Hamilton to finally win an F1 title following the latter’s most recent victory in 2020. Now, the seven-time champion revealed the advice he gave to the McLaren ace amid the 2025 title battle.
Lewis Hamilton was the latest McLaren championship winner following his title victory with the constructor all the way back in 2008. The team suffered from a poor spell since then and only tasted victory in recent years. Lando Norris was extremely delighted following the title win, and Hamilton even congratulated him in the media pen.
Now the 40-year-old has spoken rather formally on the matter and once again applauded Norris’ title win. Despite the past beef between Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton, the latter claimed that he was very happy for the 2025 title winner.
Hamilton remarked that the 26-year-old did a very great job this season. The seven-time champion recalled his advice to Norris, asking him to continue racing the way he was and take the race one corner at a time. Thankfully, this advice was just what the Briton needed to emerge victorious in the title fight in the final year of the ground-effect era.
I’m really, really happy for him, He did such a great job this season. I told him going into the weekend, just continue doing you. What you’ve been doing works, so don’t change it. Go into the weekend and just take it one corner at a time.
Lewis Hamilton said, as reported by motorsport.com.
Lewis Hamilton asserted that it was great to see another fellow Briton winning the driver’s title and achieving the ultimate goal in the pinnacle of motorsport. Moreover, Lando Norris won the title after a long-fought battle up until the very last race of the season. As such, Hamilton noted that this win came as a best-case scenario for the McLaren star as he picked up the title win impressively.
Clearly, that’s what he did. Great to see another Brit win a championship. Awesome for the sport. It went right down to the last race. What more can you ask for?
Lewis Hamilton added.
Lewis Hamilton claims Lando Norris showing “great” vulnerability in F1
Lando Norris is one of the very few drivers who has remained extremely critical of all mistakes on the track. Moreover, the Briton did not change himself or his personality amid the driver’s title battle being at its peak.

Though Norris has received a lot of hate for his controversial comments, he tries to clear the air by apologizing genuinely following his mistakes. As such, Lewis Hamilton believes that this is one of the better qualities of the one-time champion.
Lewis Hamilton initially reckoned that he couldn’t comment much on the matter as he wasn’t fully aware of what Lando Norris said about his own mistakes and mental health. But the 40-year-old thinks that it is great that more and more people are showing their vulnerable side in Formula 1. Hamilton noted that mental health challenges were a real problem in the modern world, and more people should take them seriously.
I mean, I don’t know… I can’t really comment. I don’t know what he said, so I can’t really say much, I think it’s great that people can show their vulnerability. It’s a real thing in today’s world. It should be taken seriously.
Lewis Hamilton noted.
The 2025 season is officially over, and Lando Norris is the rightful winner of the driver’s title this time around. The 26-year-old will don the No.1 in his McLaren challenger next year and show off his title win in style. It will be interesting to see how the next regulations play out for Norris on track and if he can keep up with this winning momentum.
