Joseph Kosinski opens up on Lewis Hamilton’s dream F1 film’s sequel
Given the F1 movie’s success, it is no surprise that the film is open for a sequel in the near future. With many factors hinting at a possible sequel for the movie, the director, Joseph Kosinski, opens up on directing yet another movie alongside Lewis Hamilton as the producer. Kosinski pondered over what the story could be if a second release of the movie were to be released anytime soon.

Joseph Kosinski reckoned that the production crew was currently brainstorming what the next chapter for Sonny Hayes, played by Brad Pitt in the movie, would be in the sequel. Following the overly positive remarks from the fans worldwide, Kosinski highlighted that he would be more than willing to work on a sequel to the movie. For now, Lewis Hamilton might not be able to give his time to the production process because of his high-intensity move to Ferrari in Formula 1.
We’re in that stage of just kind of dreaming up what that next chapter for Sonny Hayes would be and for APXGP. But, you know, based on the reaction from around the world to this movie, it’s something that people wanna see and I’d be happy to go back and do it because we had so much fun making this one.
Joseph Kosinski told Variety
Formula 1 is continuing to gain worldwide traction, especially because of such successful ventures from the people involved in the sport.
