I am a fan of Oscar Piastri. He has the qualities of a champion, and he is always there. It seems that he will support Norris because Lando is in a better position in terms of points, but at the same time he is a driver, and he also wants to do his part. For the short time he has been in Formula 1, he
is proving to be a future champion.

With the ex-F1 champion’s appreciation behind him, Piastri would like to show the paddock his abilities despite being a bit bound by team orders. Thus, he would like to add a few more race wins in the remaining races and make a strong charge for the top three spots in the 2024 driver’s standings.

Mario Andretti commended Franco Colapinto on his stellar F1 debut

While Andretti was impressed with Piastri, another driver has left a mark on the grid this year. That driver has been the Williams’ debutant Argentine Franco Colapinto, who has scored more points in three race weekends than his predecessor managed in 36 outings.

Franco Colapinto‘s climb to stardom has been fast-tracked and Andretti admitted that he was all for it.

That’s awesome to see. This is what the sport is all about. That’s what you look forward to. Some young, new blood coming in. [Franco] Colapinto, he’s showing that he belongs there. He has something to deliver. That’s a beautiful thing. That speaks well, solid for Formula One to have a good, solid future, things to look forward to.

With young talents being the future of F1, fans must be pleased that the sport is in safe hands. Also, a change of reign might happen as early as this year as 24-year-old Lando Norris has been strongly cutting his deficit to the reigning world champion Max Verstappen in the driver’s standings.

If the Brit can pounce past the Dutchman in the standings, he would become the fifth youngest world champion ever. Ironically, just behind Verstappen in the list of youngest world champions in F1. Thus, the next two months could help decide the direction in which the future of F1 is headed. Verstappen still has a strong grasp on the driver’s title with a 52-point lead.
