Lando Norris emerged as a real contender for the F1 world title against Max Verstappen in 2024. Unfortunately, the British driver failed to defeat the reigning world champion. Now, F1 presenter Martin Brundle has highlighted a key aspect which might end Verstappen’s domination.
Norris has remained determined over his title prospects this year. The McLaren driver acknowledged that he’ll need to get his elbows out if he wants to beat Verstappen. On the other hand, Max Verstappen is likely going to continue his aggressive racing style in the upcoming season.
Brundle insisted that Lando Norris knew how to take the lead if he starts the race from the front row. The 25-year-old does see himself as a potential world champion. However, Martin Brundle asserted that Norris would not only need to take his elbows out, but even put razorblades on them if he wants to defeat Verstappen in wheel-to-wheel battles.
I think Lando knows how to lead from the front now. I think he probably believes he can win a World Championship. He’ll have to get his elbows out and get some razorblades on those elbows in some wheel-to-wheel combat with Max.

Martin Brundle pinpoints reason behind Max Verstappen’s 4 titles
Max Verstappen has dominated Formula 1 since the start of the ground-effect era in 2022. Martin Brundle pointed out that drivers struggle to match the aggressive racing style of the Dutch driver. Brundle emphasized that Verstappen was rather tough in this regard and that is what made him a four-time world champion.

That’s clear, as everybody has to because that’s how Max goes racing. He’s tough, and that’s why he’s won the last four World Championships.
Martin Brundle added
Certainly, Max Verstappen has never made life easy for his rivals. The Red Bull star fights tooth and nail for every position during a race. Drivers such as Lando Norris will have to learn how to adapt to such circumstances in high pressure battles. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen how things pan out for the two this season.
