The 2024 Formula 1 extravaganza is back! The much-awaited US GP is slated to take place this week and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen is raring to go. Ahead of the marquee event, he has emphasized his team’s changes on the RB20.
Max Verstappen has had a pretty up-and-down campaign this year. From winning seven of the first ten races to going winless in the next eight, he and the whole Red Bull team have been on quite a ride.
However, Verstappen is optimistic heading into the Circuit of the Americas event.
The Milton-Keynes-based team is suspected to be bringing a huge upgrade around the floor of the RB20. Since the end of the summer break, the challenger faced several kinds of issues until Singapore, and Verstappen and Sergio Perez were not at all pleased by them.
Max Verstappen to dawn a special US GP helmet
While Max Verstappen will have several eyes on him at this week’s US GP weekend, he will also be in the limelight for dawning an extremely aesthetic helmet. The 27-year-old will wear a special US-themed helmet at the event.
Verstappen is currently leading the 2024 driver’s championship by a margin of 52 points. McLaren’s Lando Norris is hot on his heels and thus, will be looking to make further dents into the Dutchman’s lead.
On the Constructors’ front, the chances of Red Bull toppling McLaren are extremely low. The former is already 41 points adrift of the papaya and with Perez’ inconsistency, things are not looking very rosy. Moreover, the Austrian outfit is also under threat from Ferrari and could drop down to third by the end of the season.
